Johnny Davison
In May of 2010, Johnny Davison became the youngest Kiwi (at age 29) to successfully guide the summit of Mt Everest, while working for the legendary Russell Brice of Discovery Channel notoriety. This journey to Everest, has led Johnny all over the world, from Antarctica and the Erebus crash site, to the high, glaciated summits of the Alaska Range on the edge of the Arctic Circle.
Johnny is a passionate ice climber, and has established some of the most difficult ice and alpine climbs in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, while based out in Wanaka over the past few years. Throughout his travels, he has met many colourful characters, and lived the life of adventure he dreamed of as a kid growing up in central Auckland. He has climbed and guided in many places whose names are synonymous with the edge of the map, but still considers the ‘easy’ route on New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki / Mt Cook, to be his most dangerous workplace. |

Jamie Fitzgerald
Jamie Fitzgerald strives for success in everything he does, and is constantly searching for new ways to test his own boundaries. Early in 2007, Jamie became the first ever Kiwi to reach the South Pole unsupported on foot with fellow adventurer Kevin Biggar. This 52-day expedition created media attention world wide as they implemented a 'business-like' approach to reaching success.
Jamie’s other sporting achievements include the world record for rowing across the Atlantic Ocean (5000km) in a tiny row-boat, wins against both Cambridge and Oxford rowing crews during his management and marketing degrees, elite representation with New Zealand Rowing and is double New Zealand representative in rowing and surf lifesaving.
Jamie's professional career has included marketing, financial, agricultural and education sectors. Whether using examples from growing his farm fencing business, or improving bottom-line performance during his various bank manager roles, Jamie’s rich supply of theory and real-life examples proves his ability to translate theory into action steps is very hard to beat.
Jamie is currently working with an internationally operating business consultancy which focuses on the following areas:
- Strategy implementation and organisation effectiveness
- Leadership development, management training and executive coaching
- Instructional design, facilitation and adult learning methodologies
- Programme development and large-group event design
Jamie’s speaking and facilitation experience is enormous, with feedback to prove the quality of Jamie’s delivery. Hundreds of thousands of people around the world have benefited from his inspirational, insightful and compelling messages. Jamie’s knack in turning his messages into meaningful dialogue between audience members is a tribute to his ability to ‘shape conversations’ too. Skills such as dealing with uncertainty, team effectiveness during the economic downfall, goal setting, communication techniques, dispute resolution and reaching objectives are among some of his strengths.
His ability to relate to any audience, and develop client specific presentations and workshops lead to very satisfied (and inspired) organisations! In short, Jamie’s inspirational messages are changing peoples’ lives. |
